Jennifer Minnicks, MSW, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Marietta
Jennifer Minnicks is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a passionate, non-judgmental approach, and a solution-focused mindset. She has always had an innate interest in truly understanding people and the various impacts relationships have on individuals. Thus she began her journey to become a therapist in 2008 when she graduated from Georgia Southern University with her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology. She then went on to graduate, with honors, from Kennesaw State University earning her Masters of Social Work in 2011. She specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has extensive experience in working with children, teens, and adults. Jennifer has over 10 years of experience from working in various settings including Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Cobb County Schools, Marietta City Schools, Grady Hospital, both inpatient and outpatient substance abuse treatment centers, and the Cobb County Department of Behavioral Health. Jennifer is part owner and founder of Marietta Counseling Practice where a personable therapy experience is always a priority.
Jennifer believes that all interactions in life have an impact on individuals and, as a result, these transactions are often manifested into our lives in different ways. Some can be channeled positively into your life while others are channeled into unhealthy patterns such as anxiety, low self-esteem, or even addiction. Whatever your story is and whatever has brought you into therapy, Jennifer strives to learn your unique story. Whether you are experiencing stressful life transitions (divorce, blended family, grief, change in job or school) or just need someone to help you manage and overcome daily stressors, sadness, depression, low self-esteem or anxiety, you can be assured you have come to the right place for healing and growing.
When Jennifer is not providing therapy, you can find her enjoying time with her husband and two children (who are growing way too fast). Jennifer is a Georgia native and animal lover at heart with a passion for traveling with her family.
Meghan Vogt, MSW, LCSW, CATP
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Marietta
Meghan Vogt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who provides counseling services in the Marietta area. She received her B.S. in psychology from James Madison University and her M.S.W. from New York University. She has practiced in a variety of clinical inpatient and outpatient settings; most recently at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Northside Hospital. With over 15 years of combined experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families, she and Jennifer Minnicks have opened the Marietta Counseling Practice in the hope of expanding local access to high-quality, family-centered services for children, adolescents, and adults.
Therapy is a personal experience. There is no “one size fits all” treatment. Meghan takes time to assess each client’s needs and goals in order to provide treatment designed to enhance outcomes. Using her years of experience, she can assist persons who are experiencing the stress of life’s challenges to find personal solutions that can work for them. She provides a warm, caring and positive space to process life’s inevitable challenges. She understands that anyone may reach a point where life can seem harder than one can manage. Having the strength and courage to start the journey is half the battle. There is always hope and a path forward.
When she is not providing therapeutic services, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. She has a strong connection to her community and is an avid runner.
